§  Reasoning of record

The Falcon launch vehicles are named after the falcon — a family of birds whose best-known members are in measurable decline. The saker falcon (Falco cherrug) is classed Endangered; multiple other Falconidae are listed Vulnerable.

Each launch deposits propellant chemistry into the upper atmosphere on a trajectory that, by design, intersects the airspace through which falcons migrate. The base rate (Aerospace, 2.0%) records the atmospheric burden and propellant chemistry. The namesake surcharge (+0.5%) records the use of the falcon’s name on a programme whose growth is decoupled from the species’ recovery.

§  Calculation

BioDebt = £10,000,000,000 × (2.0 % + 0.5 % × 1) = £250,000,000
Revenue input is illustrative pending audited submission. NameCount = 1 (Falcon).
